Elisabeth Sikora


The native-born Lower Austrian studied singing, performing and dance at the conservatory of the city of Vienna/ private university/ MUK in the sector musical entertainment-theatre. While still studying she has already trod the boards with leads in different musicals. Maria Magdalena in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, Lisa in JEKYLL&HYDE, Marguerite in THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL – she also recorded the German CDs – plus in the straight theatre sector e.g.: as Ismene in ANTIGONE (Jean Anouillh). More leads followed: Sally Bowles in CABARET (European tour), the narrator in JOSEPH AND THE TECHNICOLOR DREAM-COAT (civic center Vienna), Fanny Brice in FUNNY GIRL (Theatre Ingolstadt), Elsa Schrader in THE SOUND OF MUSIC (State Theatre Kassel), Florence in CHESS (city theatre Lüneburg). Rosalia in WESTSIDE-STORY (Opera Graz), Mrs Johnstone in BLUTSBRÜDER (State Theatre Meiningen), Mina in DRACULA (city theatre Lüneburg), Saskia/Lilith in the premiere of Xavier Naidoos TIMM THALER (State Theatre Darmstadt), die fairy in Martin Doepkes Beauty and the Beast (European tour), Amneris in Elton John’s AIDA (Felsenbühne Staatz), the devil in the premiere of the musical JOHNNY BLUE by Ralph Siegel (Theatre Ingolstadt), Elise List in the musical-premiere BAHN FREI! (city theatre Fürth), Bianca/Lois Lane in KISS ME KATE (state theatre Linz), plus in the family musical HONK! (Next Liberty – Opera Graz). In 2014 Elisabeth Sikora, Markus Olzinger and Caspar Richter founded the Musical Frühling in Gmunden, in which one has already been able to see her performing as Mrs. Johnstone in “Blood Brothers” and Lily Craven in the Austrian premiere of the musical “The Secret Garden”, plus lately as Hilde in the Austrian premiere of “Sophie´s World”, in which she was also responsible for the stage setting, text-development respectively in “Sophie´s World” for the new German version of the musical. www.elisabethsikora.com
